Top Companies Using ADP: 10 Businesses and Their Payroll Technology

In 2016, Marcou Transportation Group moved six of its sixteen company payrolls from ADP to Paycom. The Waltham, Massachusetts logistics group employs about 1,200 drivers, owner-operators and support staff, and its payroll carries shift differentials and union shop rules. Paycom could not handle them. About six years later, all six payrolls were back on ADP Workforce Now, and Corporate Payroll Manager Priscilla Lopez called the difference “night and day.”

ADP published that story in May 2026. If you sell to HR or finance teams, one case study like this tells you more than a logo on a customer page. It names the product, the competitor the company left, the pain it had and the person who owns payroll.

This list covers 10 companies with public, dated proof of ADP use. For each one you get the ADP products it runs and the signal it sends for your outreach.

Employer Services kept 92.1% of its client revenue, which means close to 8% left during the year. Each Lyric go-live means a large company reconnecting its HR and finance systems to a new platform.

Global Enterprises Consolidating Payroll on ADP

Three multinationals that moved dozens of country payrolls onto ADP’s global products.

01

Forvia Went From 75 Payroll Suppliers to One

ADP GlobalView Payroll
Automotive parts
About 140,000 employees
Case study: Mar 2023
75 to 1
payroll suppliers after the switch
40
countries on one provider
15 years
of partnership at publication

Forvia, the automotive supplier based in Nanterre, France, has about 140,000 employees in 40 countries after its acquisition of Hella. It chose ADP GlobalView Payroll to replace 75 separate payroll suppliers with a single provider. ADP’s case study, published March 27, 2023, describes a partnership that was already 15 years old.

A consolidation that size moves country HR teams, local finance leads and works councils onto one system at the same time. Local compliance support, payroll analytics and data migration help all fit here. Span tracks multi-country ADP accounts in its ADP Streamline users list.

02

Sage Runs Two ADP Global Products Side by Side

ADP GlobalView Payroll
ADP Celergo
11,785 employees
Case study: Sep 2023

Sage, the accounting software company headquartered in Newcastle upon Tyne, has 11,785 employees. Before ADP it ran 14 separate payroll solutions around the world. ADP’s case study from September 19, 2023 shows the split Sage chose.

ADP GlobalView Payroll
Countries with large headcounts
ADP Celergo
Countries with small headcounts

Two products mean two sets of country contacts and two places where data has to sync. The project owner named in the study is Charlotte O’Driscoll, Global Payroll and People Projects Director.

03

Commvault Halved Payroll Time Across 30 Countries

ADP Global Payroll
Data protection software
3,000+ employees
Case study: Jul 2024

Commvault, based in Tinton Falls, New Jersey, has more than 3,000 employees in 30 countries. Each country ran its own manual payroll process until ADP Global Payroll put them on one platform. ADP reports that payroll processing time fell by half (case study published July 15, 2024).

“We’re active in 30 countries and we can’t be regulatory experts in every one of them.”

Lisa Rosenblatt, Director of Accounting, Commvault

At Commvault, payroll sits with accounting, so a pitch aimed only at HR misses the buyer.

A Holding Company Betting on ADP Lyric HCM

One holding company, 13 subsidiaries and an independent ROI study.

04

Steel Partners Reports a 96% Return on ADP Lyric HCM

ADP Lyric HCM
Holding company
13 subsidiaries
Nucleus Research: Mar 2026

Steel Partners is a global holding company with 13 subsidiaries. Many of its operating companies had no formal HR system at all. It moved them onto ADP Lyric HCM through one vendor. Nucleus Research published the results on March 9, 2026.

96%
return on investment
15.2 mo
payback period
$1.1M+
retired software costs
$3.7M+
avoided HR and consulting headcount

That $1.1 million is software Steel Partners stopped paying for during the rollout. Tools that overlap with Lyric get cut at this stage, so vendors whose products integrate with Lyric should time outreach around the go-live.

Hospitals Replacing Older Time and HR Systems

Two hospitals that moved off Kronos and a home-grown system.

05

Wooster Community Hospital Left Kronos and Cut Overtime by $636K

ADP Workforce Manager
Healthcare
1,300 employees
Case study: May 2026

Wooster Community Hospital is a 173-bed acute care hospital in Wayne County, Ohio, with 1,300 employees. It used Kronos, and managers tracked absences in their own spreadsheets. After the move to ADP Workforce Manager and the ADP mobile app, ADP’s case study (May 22, 2026) reports these results.

$636K
less overtime than the prior year
99.6%
of employees with self-service access
84.3%
mobile adoption

Hospitals still on the older Kronos products face the same nurse scheduling and overtime problems Wooster had. Span’s Kronos users list covers that pool.

06

Jefferson Hospital Association Replaced a Home-Grown System

ADP Workforce Now
Healthcare
1,520 employees
Case study: Oct 2025

Jefferson Hospital Association, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, serves 11 counties in Southeast Arkansas with 1,520 employees. Its old HR and payroll setup was built in house and badly outdated. On ADP Workforce Now, leaders approve timesheets from the mobile app and paper forms are largely gone (case study published October 10, 2025).

The executive in the study is Layton Anderson, Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer. Hospital HR projects of this size often run through the CHRO, and Span’s CHRO email list reaches that role directly.

Mid-Market Companies That Switched to ADP

Four companies that came from Paycom, Ceridian, paper processes and a system unchanged since the 1970s.

07

Marcou Transportation Group Came Back From Paycom

Paycom, 2016
Could not handle union and shift rules
ADP Workforce Now
All six back about six years later

Marcou’s story opened this post. After the six payrolls returned to ADP Workforce Now, the group got a dedicated client service manager, faster time punch processing and kiosks for drivers without smartphones (case study published May 22, 2026).

Look for the same pattern in Paycom accounts: complex union rules, shift differentials and several legal entities on one payroll. Span’s Paycom customers list is the place to start.

08

Nation Pizza and Foods Swapped Ceridian for ADP

ADP Workforce Now
ADP Time and Attendance
650 staff plus about 500 temps a day
Case study: Dec 2018

Nation Pizza and Foods makes pizza in Schaumburg, Illinois. It runs 650 permanent employees and about 500 temporary workers a day. Its Ceridian system wasn’t functional enough and its time and labor tool produced too many errors. The company moved to ADP Workforce Now and ADP Time and Attendance (case study published December 6, 2018).

A plant with 500 temps a day buys staffing, scheduling and time tracking services every week. The study’s contact is Tony Romero, Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis Manager. For more accounts that came from the same vendor, see Span’s Ceridian users list.

09

Golden Tree Restaurants Cut Payroll From 24 Hours to Four

ADP Workforce Now
ADP Workforce Manager
About 1,000 employees
Case study: May 2024

Golden Tree Restaurants, based in Richardson, Texas, runs nine restaurant brands and franchises with about 1,000 employees. Its HR and payroll work was manual and paper based. With ADP Workforce Now and ADP Workforce Manager, ADP’s case study (May 30, 2024) reports these results.

Employees also get Wisely pay cards through the ADP mobile app, so a pay card pitch is already answered here. Payroll Manager Hector Nevarez owns the process. Span’s payroll email list covers payroll managers like him across industries.

10

DSI Construction Wants ADP Connected to Sage Intacct

ADP Workforce Now
Construction
98 employees, 3 states
Case study: Sep 2023

DSI Construction, in Spokane, Washington, has 98 employees in Washington, Idaho and Montana. Before 2019, one person spent three to four days running each payroll. On ADP Workforce Now, payroll takes one day and covers more than 90 employees instead of 50 (case study published September 1, 2023).

Buying signal: CFO Tracy Miller states the next step in the study. DSI wants ADP Workforce Now connected to its Sage Intacct financial software, because payroll is the company’s largest expense.

A stated integration plan is the clearest buying signal on this list. Span’s Sage Intacct customers list shows which other ADP accounts run the same finance system.

How Much Payroll Time the Switch Saved

Three of the 10 case studies give a before and after time for running payroll. Each bar is scaled to that company’s own starting time.

Golden Tree Restaurants
About 83% less time
Before: 24 hours
After: 4 hours
DSI Construction
About 70% less time
Before: 3 to 4 days
After: 1 day
Commvault
Half the time
Before: Full cycle
After: Half
Figures as reported in each company’s ADP case study. DSI’s bar uses the midpoint of three to four days.

The Four ADP Signals: How to Read Any ADP Account

The 10 stories above repeat four patterns. Check any ADP account for them before you write a first email.

1

The Product Tier

GlobalView, Celergo and Streamline point to multi-country payroll run by a global payroll director. Lyric HCM points to a large company in the middle of a new deployment. Workforce Now points to a midsize company, often with a small payroll team (DSI had one person). TotalSource means the company uses ADP’s PEO, so HR decisions are shared with ADP. Span splits these out in its ADP Workforce Now users list, ADP Payroll users list and ADP TotalSource users list.

2

The Switch History

Marcou left Paycom. Nation Pizza left Ceridian. Wooster left Kronos. The vendor a company left tells you what failed, and what it will test you on. Accounts on Paychex and Paycom today are tomorrow’s switch stories.

3

The Open Integration

DSI wants ADP linked to Sage Intacct. Steel Partners retired $1.1 million in tools during its Lyric rollout. Ask every ADP account which system still does not talk to payroll.

4

The Growth Event

Forvia added Hella. DSI added Montana in fall 2022. Steel Partners has 13 subsidiaries to bring onto one system. Each acquisition, new state or new country adds a payroll to set up.

Who Should Target Companies Using ADP

ADP covers the core payroll. The companies on this list still bought or needed scheduling, time tracking, pay cards, finance integration, staffing and compliance help around it. That makes ADP accounts a strong audience for these sellers.

✓
HR tech add-ons such as scheduling, benefits administration, earned wage access and people analytics
✓
ERP and finance integrators connecting payroll to systems like Sage Intacct
✓
Payroll compliance and tax consultants, especially for multi-state and multi-country employers
✓
Staffing firms serving temp-heavy employers like Nation Pizza
✓
Competing HCM vendors looking for accounts that might switch

If you sell across HR platforms, compare the pool with Span’s HR software users list and the guide to identifying companies on Workday, SAP and Oracle. For the method behind tech-based targeting, read how technographics improve B2B sales and marketing.

Build Your ADP Target List With Span

Ten case studies give you ten accounts, and most sales territories need thousands.

Span builds ADP target lists by product, so you can pick Workforce Now accounts, TotalSource accounts or multi-country Streamline accounts instead of one mixed file. Each list can be filtered by industry, company size and location, with contacts for the people who buy around payroll: CHROs, HR executives, payroll managers and CFOs. Span states that its technology lists are at least 95% deliverable.
