Region-Specific Data Policies | Australia & New Zealand
Span Global Services (SGS) honors data regulation policies sensitive to different geographical regions, and abides by them in detail.
For the Australian region, SGS amends by
- 7 core Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) contained in the Schedule 1 of the Privacy Act 1988, which relays the conditions for collecting ‘sensitive’ and otherwise available private information.
- Code of Practice Guidelines from Association for Data-driven Marketing & Advertising (ADMA), including ADMA’s Do-not-Call and Do-not-Mail policies.
For New Zealand, the privacy legislations coming under Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000 are strictly maintained for our data collection and conservation.
Data Collection & Usage:
All private and business data under Span Global Services’ Master Database (MDb) is collected from legitimate organizations and publicly available sources, through lawful marketing practices.
Individuals and organizations enlisted under SGS databases are made aware of their inclusion, purpose behind the collection and possible usage of their private information. Consent to such usage is also collected through legally practicable media.
Span Global Services uses personal information of included entities only for the purpose of which it was collected:
- Maintenance of data quality of the SGS Master Database
- Providing information to clients for marketing purposes
